University of Makati is located at J.P. Rizal Extension, West Rembo, Makati City. Travelling to UMak is easy if you are near there. But some students are just walking because it just a step-away from their houses. Well, it is good, you can save money from that. The history of UMak remains a memory to the people in the school and the university itself. The UMak had a different names before it is gone to its official name which is the University of Makati. We have known that it is one of the universities to have the K+12 Program. At first, I dont Like UMak, why? I like the University, really, but I don’t like their K+12 Program which caused to have a plus 2 more year in high school. But then, I get used to it since I am a Grade 12 student. It’s not bad actually, it helps you gain and learn more.

I, as a student here in UMak, I experienced a lot of things that I didn’t expect to. I enjoyed my stay here. I’ve made a circle of friends and I even performed to their Grand Theater. Speaking of Grand Theater, you can see students with a good potential who are performing there. Aside from that some popular TV personalities have been there. Mini theater is where important meetings and assemblies are held. Some students also perform there. UMak is also an environmental-friendly university. You can see bushes, plants, and trees everywhere that symbolizes that UMak is a nature-lover like their own precious Acacia Tree there. Aside from that, UMak is known for its very own Track Oval. Some famous athletes or teams like the Philippine Azkals and more are going there to train. Not just sports, UMak also held concerts there for the students to enjoy their youth.

One of the main courses in UMak are the Nursing, Pharmacies and other related to sciences. They have their own building together with the 2 Dance Studios, Volleyball court and Basketball Court called the Health and Physical Science Building. We also have University Canteen, Library, Clinic and more departments or facilities that students and professors needs.

If our university has a great image, well add the best professors who can teach us with an outstanding performance. They are doing their job for us to be a successful individual. Our professors also encourage us that we can do our very best to achieve our dreams. My opinion is that, UMak really help students to be more competent, skilled and well-educated residents of Makati City. They are the key for us students to compete for high-paying job opportunities. Well, University of Makati can level up like the popular universities here in Metro Manila and even in the Philippines.
